Contento Pizzeria and Bar Opens at Jerry’s Nugget Casino in Las Vegas
Carrying on the tradition of great food and award-winning dining, Jerry’s Nugget Casino is proud to announce its newest restaurant to Las Vegas – Contento Pizzeria and Bar (Pictured: Diavola Pizza ($11) made with San Marzano crushed tomatoes, mozzarella, spicy salami, and spicy peppers).

Crafting authentic Italian gourmet single-serving pizzas and authentic Italian cuisine, Contento Pizzeria and Bar is all about using quality ingredients to create a simplicity of flavors that originated in Italy many centuries ago. The restaurant includes an open concept dining room, lounge, and bar all dressed in classic décor. Next to the dining area is Contento To-Go, a bistro for takeout on paninis, gourmet coffee, desserts, and more.

Contento’s concept was created by two Italian pizza specialists, Carmine “Giuseppe” Conte (Contento General Manager) and Ismaele Romano (Contento Executive Chef). Responsible for all of Contento’s freshly baked breads and artistic desserts is Executive Pastry Chef, Douglas Taylor.

All appetizers, signature pizzas, pastas, meat, seafood, and even vegetarian entrees are inspired by Chef Ismaele’s work experiences in Florence, Italy and the California wine region. Try his take on Arancini Siciliani ($10), a widely known street food in Italy made with authentic Sicilian style saffron rice balls and filled with beef ragu, peas, and provolone cheese. Signature single-serving pizzas include the Diavola ($11) made with San Marzano crushed tomatoes, mozzarella, spicy salami, and spicy peppers and the Contento ($12) made with white bean puree, mozzarella, mascarpone cream cheese, house made sausage, and broccoli rabe. For entrees, recommended dishes include the Gamberoni ($22), Italy’s take on shrimp and grits made with deep fried jumbo shrimps, creamy soft polenta, and lemon butter sauce and the Tagliata Alla Fiorentina ($23), a grilled 18-ounce New York Steak sliced over organic arugula, shaved parmigiano, sautéed mushrooms, and herb butter. For pasta favorites, the classic Rigatoni ($14) made with Bolognese beef sauce is here along with potato dumplings, Gnocchi ($15) mixed with tomato sauce, fried eggplant, and ricotta cheese.

Dessert is a must when at Jerry’s Nugget! All desserts at Contento are made from scratch and beautifully plated by Executive Pastry Chef, Douglas Taylor. Order the cheesecake ($7) with a hint of citrus and a graham cracker crust, or the cannoli plate ($6) which is accented with black cherries. Another sweet item is the cappuccino cake ($7) made with layers of chocolate and mascarpone cream.
