Dave Koz and Friends are Back by Popular Demand at Aliante Casino + Hotel
Aliante Casino + Hotel proudly presents the return of Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns Tour 2013 live in Access Showroom. The smooth jazz artists are back for a highly sought after encore.
Eight-time GRAMMY nominee and saxophonist extraordinaire Dave Koz typically spends every summer on the road, bringing a stellar group of musician friends along with him. This summer, he’s assembled an all-star line-up of saxophonists: Mindi Abair, Gerald Albright and Richard Elliot will be the special guests on the Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns Tour 2013, a celebration of the instrument that has fueled some of the world’s best-loved songs. Aliante Casino + Hotel is excited to host a second stop on this tour, with a return to Access Showroom on August 3.
The saxophonists, who are touring together as a foursome for the first time, will be previewing songs from their upcoming album, entitled Summer Horns. The collection is a tribute to the great horn section bands in modern music (Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Tower Of Power, Blood, Sweat & Tears, James Brown, Sly & The Family Stone) and full of imaginative retakes on true horn-era classics. They will also be playing the biggest hits from their individual catalogues, with support from Dave’s band.
