Defending the Caveman
hits a milestone in 2017 as Las Vegas’ longest running Broadway show. Defending the Caveman debuted in southern Nevada on June 1, 2007 (Pictured: Tim Plewman joined Kevin Burke on Friday, both performing their version of the show).

Celebrating 10 years of performances in the entertainment capital of the world, the amorous show about the sexes hosted revered South African actor Tim Plewman on March 3 at 6 p.m. at the D Las Vegas for a special one night only performance of his hysterical rendition of Defending the Cavemen.

Defending the Caveman with its world-wide reach will continue the celebration throughout 2017 by hosting international performances of the show. Future dates to be announced include the Mexican, German and Cuban versions. Broadway’s smash hit about the sexes has toured the United States and more than 40 countries with production in nearly 30 languages.

“I am honored to bring our South African flavour to launch the 10-year anniversary of Defending the Caveman in Las Vegas,” Plewman said. “No matter what country you call home, the universal content of relationships transends throughout.”

“Having Tim present his version of Defending the Caveman followed by mine is the perfect prescription to kicking off the 10-year celebration of this heritage Broadway show, because we all know an evening of laughing is ‘medicine for the soul’,” said Kevin Burke, star of the Las Vegas production.
