On the heels of its eighth year in Las Vegas, Defending the Caveman returns to its Downtown Las Vegas roots and spears a deal at the Showroom at the D

Defending the Caveman made its debut in June 2007 in downtown Las Vegas. In addition to being the longest-running one-man show in Broadway history, it is the longest-running Broadway show in Las Vegas history.

“This city has welcomed our production with open arms,” said Óskar Eiríksson, CEO of Theater Mogul. “The renewal in historic downtown is inspiring and we look forward to returning to our Vegas roots to re-launch our refreshed production.”

Theater Mogul, a global theatrical production company with shows in more than 30 countries, produces Defending the Caveman worldwide and will introduce a new caveman set, modernized twists in the script and additional productions elements with its debut at the D.

Defending the Caveman is scheduled nightly at 8:30 p.m. through April 3. Beginning April 4, the production will move to 4 p.m. daily with additional 8:30 p.m. performances on Thursdays and Fridays.

Defending the Caveman speaks to anyone who has ever been in a relationship. The performance carries on like a conversation and dives into the differences couples may face through witty banter and insightful observations that teach the audience they’re not alone in navigating relationships – the ways one fights, laughs and loves.

Returning to the one-man role will be comedian and actor Kevin Burke. Burke was recognized as Las Vegas Entertainer of The Year in 2008, and received the Guinness World Record for most performances in a 50-day period. He has performed Defending the Caveman more than 3,500 times since 2003. Joining the Las Vegas team in 2014, esteemed writer, director, stage and television actor John Venable will continue his performance schedule in the Caveman role. Venable has been performing nationally in Defending the Caveman since 2012.

Defending the Caveman at the Showroom at the D Las Vegas – Performances are 4 p.m. daily and 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the D showroom at the D Las Vegas. Tickets are $34.95++, general admission; $44.95++, VIP admission and includes priority seating and a Defending the Caveman t-shirt; and $58.18++, Platinum admission and includes first-tier seating, a commemorative photo, Defending the Caveman t-shirt, and one well drink, domestic beer or house wine.
