Disney’s The Lion King at Mandalay Bay Celebrates Two Years in Las Vegas with $15 Child Ticket Offer in May

In celebration of its second anniversary on the Strip, Disney’s THE LION KING at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is introducing its first locals’ ticket offer just for children. For weekend matinee performances in the month of May, each adult purchasing a full-price ticket can purchase two child tickets for only $15.

This special offer for local families is a way for THE LION KING to thank the Las Vegas community for its support since the show’s May 2009 debut. Within nine weeks of opening, THE LION KING broke the Mandalay Bay box office record and continued to break its own record four more times. The beloved Las Vegas production has captured the imagination of nearly one million locals and tourists since opening while garnering outstanding reviews. THE LION KING was named the city’s “Best Show” by the staff of the Las Vegas Review-Journal in its annual “Best of Las Vegas” awards, while Las Vegas Magazine said THE LION KING “… transcends cultural boundaries and the limits of the imagination” and CityLife called it “…flat-out brilliant.”

Families can experience the magic of the world’s No. 1 musical through their children’s eyes as they watch Simba’s journey from cub to King. With incredible costumes, larger-than-life animals, special effects, exciting musical score and heartfelt story, THE LION KING is the perfect introduction to the theatre for people of all ages.

The ticket offer is available for the 4 p.m. performance of THE LION KING every Saturday and Sunday in the month of May with a valid Nevada ID. Children must be under the age of 17; maximum two child tickets per one adult ticket. Recommended viewing age for THE LION KING is six years and older.
