Don Barnhart’s Battle Comics & Jokesters Comedy Club Offer Free Comedy Show for Military, Spouses, Family & Friends of Deployed Troops Based in Vegas
Before heading overseas once again, comedian Don Barnhart and Jokesters Comedy Club at Bally’s Las Vegas will offer a free night of comedy on March 1st to honor the family, spouses and friends of the Vegas based troops currently deployed in the Middle East.

Las Vegas based comedian Don Barnhart and his Battle Comics Laughter For The Troops will be heading to the Middle East in March to entertain the troops for Armed Forces Entertainment. The Battle Comics will be performing at some of the bases where the Vegas based 17th Sustainment Brigade is currently deployed.

Don Barnhart will team up with Jokesters Comedy Club at Bally’s Las Vegas to offer a free night of comedy for the spouses, family and friends of those serving. Barnhart, himself has been producing and performing comedy shows for the troops since 1992 and is a regular headliner on the Vegas strip. The show will include Don Barnhart, Keith Lyle from The Hangover, Derek Richards and several of his Battle Comics along with special guests and celebrities. Marsha Warfield who played Roz on the TV show Night Court will make a special guest appearance.

The show is scheduled for 9:30pm March 1st at Jokesters Comedy Club inside Bally’s Las Vegas in the Windows Showroom. Anyone using the code JKCFFMIL will receive 2 free tickets to Tuesday, March 1st show only. Seating begins at 9:00pm and is on a first come/first served basis.

We will be collecting/putting together a care package of donations of what the soldiers ask for: gift cards, toiletries, CDs, DVDs, video games, etc along with shooting video of the show including interviews with spouses, family and friends saying, “Hi, we miss you, etc” that we will deliver to the 17th Regiment serving in Kuwait.

In a recent interview, Barnhart said, “I find it ironic that so many people say they, “Support The Troops” and do nothing about it.

One soldier told me he went into a store that had a sign up in the front window saying they ‘supported the troops’. The soldier asked if there was a discount or something and the owner said, “No”. The soldier then asked exactly how the store supported the troops and the owner replied that they put up a sign. This is just one of the reasons why I do what I do.”

Due to security reasons, the exact bases that Barnhart’s Battle Comics will perform are undisclosed but one of the stops will be in Kuwait. Don is working with the Family Readiness Group. The FRG is a collection of Spouses and other family members that band together to help each other with issues at home while their soldiers are away.

Anyone wishing to donate to the care package can bring those items and more to the event or contact Don Barnhart directly for more information.
