El Cortez Hotel Spreads Holiday Cheer with Gift Drive Benefiting Court Appointed Special Advocate Foundation
This December, El Cortez Hotel & Casino spreads holiday cheer with their annual gift drive in honor of the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Foundation of Clark County, Nevada from now until Thursday, Dec. 20.
The CASA foundation’s local chapter provides assistance to children who have been abused or neglected and have found themselves in the legal system through no fault of their own. CASA Foundation exists to meet those critical unmet needs of the children who have nowhere else to turn by funding tutoring programs, recreational programs and personal development programs on a child-specific basis.
“We think it is important for El Cortez to give back to the local community in any way possible whether that’s during the holidays or any other time of the year,” said El Cortez General Manager Mike Nolan. “Having the opportunity to support the local CASA Foundation though this toy drive is just our small way of saying thanks for all they do to support children in need throughout Clark County .”
Donations will be accepted at El Cortez’s casino cage from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily during the gift drive, and all guests who donate a new, unopened gift valued at $5 or more will receive $10 in free play. Free play can only be redeemed once and will only be given to those who provide a receipt showing proof of value with donation.
