Entertainment Las Vegas Style Films PBS Pledge Drive Special


Film crews have been busy shooting high definition footage for a new PBS Pledge Drive Show in Las Vegas (Photo credit: Mark Bowers)The show, which will air in January, will be titled Entertainment Las Vegas Style. Tony Sacca, a local entertainment celebrity will co-host with Charo, the international superstar.

Some of the locations to be photographed include the Venetian Gondola Ride, Palazzo Fountain and Afternoon Paris Street.

Charo will perform her newest CD España Cañi, which is currently No. 16 on the dance charts, on her flamenco guitar on the sidewalk in front of the three-story Bellagio fountains with three dancers.

Other sights will include the patio at Mix at the top of THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, New York-New York Walk of Stars, MGM Grand Hollywood Theater, Las Vegas Hilton main showroom and Fremont Street Experience.

Charo is also shooting a separate reality show for Univision.

A good portion of the pledge show will be based on the celebrity-filled archives provided by the weekly television entertainment variety show, Entertainment Las Vegas Style now in its 23rd year.

The show is being designed to emulate one of the most successful PBS television specials – Doo Wop at 50.
