In fact, one of the only things missing from its repertoire was a music festival. That is, until Las Rageous launched and landed into the venue with two stages, a food truck village, freak show performers, and the top hard rock acts! The two-day festival exceeded expectations as DLVEC saw a cumulative 20,000 people raging on its premises!

Hard rock legends, Godsmack, were Friday’s awesome headliners. Also on the bill were Coheed and Cambria, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Of Mice & Men, The Devil Wears Prada, We Gave It Hell, and A Friend A Foe.

The crowd started forming as early as 2:30 in the afternoon, slowly turning the venue into a capsule of hard rock fury. Owner, Derek Stevens, and his wife, Nicole, were both present throughout the night. Derek gave the massive crowd a warm/raging welcome before introducing Godsmack. He and Nicole then met backstage with lead singer, Sully Erna, to wish him good luck and take some celebratory photos.

The crowd’s roars could be heard all over Vegas as Godsmack blasted onto stage and played under bright city lights. Derek was spotted partying in the pit with UFC President, Dana White, as the band performed one of their biggest hits, “I Stand Alone”. The coolest thing ever took place when Dana offered Sully a donation of $10,000 to the charity of his choice if the band would play one extra song. That offer was accepted as the hard rock icons picked up their guitars for a rendition of Joe Walsh’s “Rocky Mountain Way”. What a way to end day one!
