Foremost Disney Illustrator Chris Dellorco Demonstrates Fine Art at Art Encounter at The Forum Shops May 9-10

Los Angeles-native Dellorco is widely considered one of Disney’s top illustrators for print advertising, specializing in Home Video packaging. If you own one of Disney’s animated titles on VHS or DVD, Dellorco probably did the cover. His famous covers such as the award-winning “The Lion King” have reached masses of people while in complete contrast are his large sophisticated oil paintings.

“We will be highlighting Chris Dellorco and his dramatic and mysterious fine art originals,” said Art encounter’s executive director Scott Ferguson. “Chris’ work is distinctive and intriguing contrasting human beauty against a backdrop of mankind’s greatest monuments, many which he photographed on his world travels. His work puts viewers in a trance.”

Currently, Dellorco shows his fine art oils and limited edition prints at galleries spanning the United States, at the prestigious, Beverly Hills, Affaire in the Garden, and on major cruise lines. He has been featured on the covers of “Premier Magazine,” “Art Business News,” “Society and Décor Magazine,” and also listed among “50 Top Artists for 2012” by “Art Business News.”

Dellorco’s client list for his fine art includes “Titanic” movie director James Cameron, Michael Jackson, Prince Abdul of Saudi Arabia, Mathew Calamari, COO/Trump Group, to name a few.

Dellorco’s initial interest in the interplay between art and architectural history began with a degree in Developmental Economics from U.C. Berkeley. Desiring a more creative field, he switched his focus from academics to art and went on to establish himself as one of the county’s foremost illustrators. Although completely self-taught, his art career has spanned all aspects of illustration while specializing in the film industry, children’s products and children’s books. A true renaissance man, along with a degree in Economics and a successful art career, he has also successfully written and directed an award winning short film, receiving international recognition.
