Indie-rock trio Foster the People has made a name for themselves playing atmospheric, psychedelic and dance-oriented pop. Formed in Los Angeles in 2009, the band features keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Mark Foster, bassist Cubbie Fink and drummer Mark Pontius.
The three-member group began receiving significant online attention after their single “Pumped Up Kicks” was promoted on-air by popular radio stations Sirius XM and KROQ, eventually reaching the number three spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Since the release of their breakout song, Foster the People has continued making music that delights fans. Their first full-length album, Torches was released in 2011; another entitled Supermodel is expected later this year in March 2014.
