Four Queens Headliner Mike Hammer to Host Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament at Binion’s Gambling Hall May 26, 2019
Four Queens headliner Mike Hammer will host a Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament at Binion’s Gambling Hall on Sunday, May 26, 2019. The event will benefit the U.S. Vets Charity which provides housing, employment and mental health services to veterans.

“Come on out and try to beat James Woods at poker, or play against some of the top magicians in the business, including Lance Burton, The Amazing Jonathan and Mac King,” said Hammer.

“We are also thrilled to have Jeff Timmons, founding member of the Grammy-nominated pop group 98 Degrees, The Tenors of Rock, hypnotists Anthony Cools and Kevin Lepine, TV and music artist Dirk Vermin, professional poker player Miami John Cernuto and Gady Medrano from A&E’s “Flipping Vegas” TV show,” said Hammer.

Also competing will be Brian Shapiro, host of The Vegas Take radio show, and making a special appearance will be Lydia Ansel, DJ/electric violinist and others to be announced.

“I am very excited to host a celebrity poker tournament at Binion’s Gambling Hall,” Hammer explained. “I’ve been involved with charities for our veterans for the past few years and this year is no different. We will be working with U.S. Vets of Las Vegas, whose mission is to transition military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development and comprehensive support.  In fact, some of these veterans have been hired by Binion’s and sister property, The Four Queens Hotel & Casino.”

The players in the tournament will compete at No Limit Texas Hold’em with a $120 buy-in and unlimited $60 add-ins and re-buys during the first four levels. $50 from each paid entry plus $30 from all add-ons and re-buys will be donated to the U.S. Vets Charity. Bust a celebrity and Binion’s will donate $100 to the Charity. Binion’s will also donate all operational fees. Any and all prize money won by a celebrity will be donated to the Charity.

“It is nostalgic to hold our event at Binion’s where the World Series of Poker began,” added Hammer. “Binion’s is very kind to not only donate their tables for this event and also supplying assistance from their management and marketing team. I am thankful for all of their help.”

Registration will take place at 11am on the day of the tournament. Cards in the air at 12 noon.
