Fourth Annual “All In For CP” No Limit Texas Hold ‘em Poker Tournament to Benefit One Step Closer Foundation Dec. 9
The 4th Annual “All In For CP” No Limit Texas Hold ‘em poker tournament benefiting the One Step Closer Foundation will be held at The Venetian Poker Room on Friday, Dec. 9.
One Step Closer is a 501c (3) not-for-profit organization whose main goal is to ease, as much as possible, the lives of those who suffer from cerebral palsy through financial freedom and social acceptance.
The tournament is the brainchild of Jacob Zalewski, who copes with cerebral palsy and hopes that through the foundation and events like these, a cure will be found. “We hope to see a future where cerebral palsy is a thing of the past,” says Zalewski. “We know are getting one step closer to that vision everyday.” The buy-in for the tournament is $500 plus $40 entry fee plus 200 rebuys for the first 90 min. Items will be auctioned off in a silent & live auction as well.
Celebrities expected to attend and participate: Sean Astin ( Lord of the Ringes/Rudy). Jo Coddington (Discovery Channel’s American Hot Rod), Shannon Elizabeth (Dancing With the Stars/That 70s Show), Cheryl Hines (“ABC’s Suburgatory/Curb Your Enthusiasm), Mekhi Phifer (“Lie to Me,” “ER”), Sam Simon (creator of “The Simpsons), Jennifer Tilly (Family Guy/Liar Liar), Donnie & Jimmy Wahlberg, (New Kids on The Block/ Band of Brothers), Montel Williams (TV talk show host), amongst others.
