Galaxy Theatres Completes Upgrades at Cannery Location to Become a Luxury+ Branded Theater

Galaxy Theatres has completed the final phase of upgrades to become a full Luxury+ branded theater at the location inside Cannery Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas, at 2121 East Craig Road. 

The newly named Galaxy Cannery Luxury+ Theatre will now have all the same amenities as Galaxy Theatres in Henderson, including: Luxury+ seating, a Digital Fusion Experience (DFX) auditorium and Dolby Atmos sound, as well as their signature gourmet sausage bar to pair with the selections of beer and wine on tap.

The first film to premiere and be shown in the fully upgraded theatre will be The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. The film will be shown in a high frame rate (HFR), RealD 3D and utilizing Dolby Atmos sound technology in Galaxy Theatres’ exclusive DFX auditorium.

The newly transformed 14-auditorium theater now features Luxury+ signature amenities at no extra cost including:

• Cushioned leatherette reclining seats with powered footrests and attached snack tables
• Extra wide rows allowing patrons to pass in front without having to put the footrest down
• All reserved seating
• All stadium seating
• All digital sound and projection
• Beer and wine on tap
• Gourmet sausage bar

“Galaxy Theatres opened the first Luxury+ designed theater in Green Valley earlier this year and the demand for another theater was overwhelming. Soon after, we began making upgrades to our already existing location at Cannery Casino & Hotel to give even more residents the same great premium movie experience,” said Rafe Cohen, president of Galaxy Theatres. “Now that the upgrades are complete there’s even more amenities to explore at this location including beer on tap and wine service as well as a gourmet sausage bar. We invite everyone to come out and experience the movies in a whole new way with all that a Luxury+designed theater has to offer.”

In addition to Luxury+ amenities, Galaxy Cannery Theatres features its exclusive Digital Fusion Experience (DFX) auditorium with recently added Dolby Atmos sound technology, providing a powerful new listening experience to the audience. The DFX auditorium showcases a wall-to-wall and floor to ceiling 65 ft. screen, and a high frame rate 4K digital projector from Christie Digital. Along with the new Dolby Atmos sound technology, this digital projection system offers viewings of digitally created movies with ultimate color and clarity to produce a powerful, lifelike movie experience. The auditorium is also equipped with RealD 3D.
