“I’d been wanting to introduce a little more edge into this act for a while, when my Japanese stockbroker introduced me to this badass contortionist at a fetish party in downtown Kabukicho last month,” shared Absinthe’s impresario and bawdy emcee, The Gazillionaire. “Afterward, when she took off her rubber mask, I realized she was actually my beautiful niece, Gertie, from Copenhagen who was there making some extra yen while studying quantum physics at the University of Tokyo.”

Since Absinthe’s Caesars Palace debut in 2011, a string of sensational showgirls have cavorted with the giant weather balloon in one of the show’s more overblown moments. Starting tonight, showgoers can continue to push their boundaries and pop into their wild side, as Gertie, and her flexibility and jaw-dropping sensuality, joins the ranks of Las Vegas’ top performers.

“What do you get when you wrap a long-legged physicist in strips of black PVC and slip her inside a giant balloon?” asked The Gazillionaire. “Well, it’s a girlie gimp… in a blimp. And I couldn’t be more proud of our little Gertie. They grow up so fast don’t they?”

Absinthe performs Wednesday-Sunday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. with no shows on Monday or Tuesday. The schedule is subject to change without notice.
