Golden Gaming Holds First Multi-Location Video Poker Tournament

Golden Gaming, Inc., operators of the PT’s and Sierra Gold taverns, will host its first-ever multi-location video poker tournament in August.

The $30,000 Citywide Video Poker Tournament will bring together players from PT’s and Sierra Golds across the valley competing for their share of $30,000 and a $10,000 grand prize starting Aug. 1.

“We’ve made it so easy to qualify,” said Christopher Abraham, vice president of marketing for Golden Gaming. “Simply earn 100 points between August 1-8 and you’re in. It’s one of the easiest ways to potentially become thousands richer.”

Players qualify for the tournament by earning 100 base points on their Golden Rewards card anytime Aug. 1 through 8. Qualifying players will then play in a tournament at their qualifying tavern, for prizes up to $250 in free slot play and advancement to the finals, through Sept. 1. Top tournament scorers from each tavern will then vie for the $10,000 grand prize in the finals at Sierra Gold on Jones Boulevard Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. Guests can even play and earn entry into qualifying tournament at multiple taverns, increasing their odds of making it to the finals.

Tavern-level tournaments will award free slot play prizes to third place, while the finals will pay cash up to fifth place: $1,000 for second, $750 for third, $500 for fourth and $250 for fifth.

“It’s the first of its kind at a Las Vegas tavern,” said Abraham. “I’m sure that this kind of tournament will attract video poker lovers from all across the valley. We’re expecting a very successful turnout.”
