Country in the Park

Headliner Granger Smith, who has amassed 3 million social media followers and sold out national tours, will perform from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Last year, his single “Backroad Song” sold more than 32,000 downloads in its first week of release and entered the iTunes Country Singles chart at No. 2. Ryan Follese will take the stage from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Previously the front man of the American Music Award-winning band Hot Chelle Rae, Follese made his country debut with the Ryan Follese EP, which includes his first official single “Put a Label On It.” Elvis Monroe features an eclectic mix of country/classic Americana with a story-telling flavor and will perform from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The band is comprised of an all-star line-up featuring members from bands such as Lifehouse, Savage Garden, Mariah Carey, Ben Folds Five and American Idol.

The festivities, presented by Mountain’s Edge and Las Vegas’ new country leader 95.5 The Bull, also will include a beer garden, food vendors, booths, exhibits and more. Picnic baskets, chairs, blankets and well-behaved leashed pets are welcome. Alcohol, coolers, glass and pop-up tents are not allowed in the park.

Attendees also can enjoy the 80-acre park’s Old Western village, Native American play structures, archaeological dig area, splash pad, picnic areas, and the 2,846-foot-tall Exploration Peak with hiking and cycling trails and panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley.

Exploration Park, located at 9700 S. Buffalo Drive, is just south of Blue Diamond Road and the master plan’s main entrance. For information, visit www.mountainsedge.com.
