Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Partners with Comedy-Magician Mac King for Mac King’s Magical Literacy Tour: Back to School 2013

During the month of August, guests that donate three new or gently used elementary school books at any of the five Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Las Vegas locations will receive two tickets to The Mac King Comedy Magic Show at Harrah’s Las Vegas and a Grimaldi’s $5 off card (Limit one per person. Grimaldi’s $5 off card good for future visit only). Donations benefit Clark County READS, the literacy initiative of The Public Education Foundation.

“It is important for us to give back to the communities where Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has restaurants and education is of vital importance. We have held book drives in other markets so we were looking to be a part of one in Las Vegas,” said Brittany Maroney, director of marketing of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. “Mac King is beloved in this city and his Magical Literacy Tour has done such amazing things for so many kids in a short amount of time that we were eager to join forces and help collect books for children in at risk schools.”

“I am grateful Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has agreed to be a drop off point for donated books and with five restaurants located throughout the city I am sure, with the community’s help, we will be able to collect a lot of books,” said Mac King. “My family loves Grimaldi’s and I have created what I like to call Mac King’s Magic Pizza, topped with anchovies and Kalamata Olives. Unlike my show, my pizza is probably not for everyone but it sure tastes great.”
