Treats For Creatures Big and Small

The world-famous dance crew JABBAWOCKEEZ will celebrate Halloween with a special 4 p.m. matinee performance of “PRiSM” at Luxor Hotel and Casino on Friday, Oct. 31. Locals are invited to take advantage of a “Buy One, Get One Free” ticket offer. Complimentary candy will be provided to guests who arrive in costume as well as JABBAWOCKEEZ T-shirts awarded to the best costumes. And this year, Nevada Day falls on Halloween, so the kids are out of school!

At Shark Reef Aquarium’s Haunted Reef inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Halloween and Dia de los Muertos come together for a frighteningly good weekend. On Friday, Oct. 31 the Haunted Reef will host its annual community day. Kids ages 12 and under who dress up in a Halloween costume, as well as any adults who donate blood at the designated United Blood Services booth, will gain free admission to the aquarium. The weekend will continue with trick or treating, decorations and events that pay tribute to Dia de los Muertos.

Ghoulish Indulgences

Complemented by a haunting display of decorations, chocolate lovers will enjoy intricately designed chocolates in the shape of pumpkins, witches and ghosts at Jean Philippe Pâtisserie in both Bellagio Resort & Casino and ARIA Resort & Casino. At Bellagio, guests will encounter a large chocolate skeleton and an enchanting six-piece Halloween scene inspired by the film “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Corner Cakes at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino will temp your sweet tooth this Halloween season with a variety of themed cupcakes available Thursday, Oct. 30 and Friday, Oct. 31. Take advantage of these treats, such as the eyeball-decorated gluten-free vanilla cupcake with white icing; the pumpkin-decorated “Nothing But Chocolate” dark chocolate cupcake with fudge icing; and the RIP-decorated Oreo and chocolate cupcake with Oreo cream.

The Monte Carlo Plaza is celebrating its first Halloween with spooky, yet tasty, food and drink specials. Double Barrel Roadhouse will offer drink specials Oct. 27 � 31, includiing the $14 Dark and Spooky Cocktail which features a black sugar rim with hanging fangs or a black spider ring. Those who want to celebrate into the night can do so with the all-you-can-drink draft and well cocktails for $30 until 1 a.m. BLVD Creamery is getting into the spirit of the season with fall ice cream flavors including Cranberry Sorbet, Pumpkin Spice, Sweet Potato and Pecan Pie. It wouldn’t be a true BLVD Creamery celebration without a spike to your treat, so enjoy a variety of alcohol-infused flavors including San Adams Oktoberfest, Ace Pumpkin Cider, Shipyard Pumpkin Ale, Warsteiner Oktoberfest and Firestone Oktoberfest.

Spooky With An Edge

Fright Dome at Circus Circus Las Vegas instills fear into the hearts of everyone brave enough to enter one of the nation’s top-ranked haunted attractions. This year’s theme, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, has guests screaming as they step into scenes from the iconic film to fend off attacks from the notorious Leatherface. As if it couldn’t get any more terrifying, Fright Dome double-dog dares guests to enter “Isolation,” a haunted house for those bold enough to brave the traps and crazed inhabitants alone. This is the first year guests can experience the newest roller coaster, El Loco, under the darkness of the haunted attraction. El Loco is an adrenaline-pumping adventure complete with G drops, gravity-defying turns and over-the-edge twists. Fright Dome is open 7 p.m. – midnight, through Oct. 31 on select nights.

Enjoy your spooky night at ARIA by trick or treating for cocktails at Sage. Order a Smoke Missing Mirrors, a cocktail that begins with an aromatic trick and ends with a tantalizing treat. During preparation, bartenders ignite a bourbon barrel plank creating a smoky haze captured within the serving glass before adding a cognac-based cocktail. Those looking to tempt their sweet tooth may reach for the Pink Cashmere, a tasty cocktail topped with cotton candy.

Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub at MGM Grand and The Bank Nightclub at Bellagio offer adults the ultimate Halloween party experience. Hakkasan will transform into the Forbidden City where a sultry Empress rewards patrons wearing the sexiest attire with cash prizes. The haunting holiday lasts all month with a DJ lineup featuring the biggest names in the industry. The Bank will host an Instagram contest with a chance to win $40,000. To further sweeten the deal, DJ Pauly D will make a special, spooky appearance on Saturday, Nov. 1.
