Think zombie apocalypse, devilish spirits, ghost tours and haunted spots. Also, new for 2012, a chilling soiree at Mandalay Bay joins the Halloween line-up to satisfy all of its guests’ blood-hungry thirsts.

  • Enter If You Dare. Look no further than top-ranked haunted attraction Fright Dome at Circus Circus for Vegas’ most thrilling experience. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the legendary Halloween event partners with iconic horror film producer and zombie expert, George A. Romero, to create the most intense haunted house “Ward of the Dead.” With five haunted houses, roaming characters, high-powered strobe lights and five acres of frightful rides, guests will find themselves fending off attacking zombies as they race for safety beginning Saturday, Sept. 29.

  • Trick or Treat, Mr. Shark! Face your fears at Haunted Reef at Mandalay Bay and dare to enter the unknown, Oct. 26 to 28. Formidable predators, including tiger sharks and a rare Komodo dragon with dagger-like teeth and deadly saliva, will lurk in exhibits. Rattling chains, creaking doors and haunting music will terrorize spectators walking through the dark and spooky tunnels. Throughout the entire weekend, guests are invited to trick-or-treat and pose for memorable photos among skeletons in dive gear. On Friday, Oct. 26, also known as Community Day, children in Halloween costumes and adults who participate in the blood drive will receive complimentary admission.

  • I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost. Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition invites guests to embark on a journey to learn about the ill-fated ship’s connections to the paranormal. The Haunted Tours detail odd occurrences and unexplained stories, giving guests a unique Halloween experience that both educates and entertains. Brave souls can hear about the “Lady in Black” who is often seen on the Grand Staircase crying for her famous friend, Molly Brown. They can also learn about Frederick Fleet, Titanic’s look-out, who watches over the Promenade Deck as he attempts to make up for his unfortunate late sighting of the iceberg. Perfect for the whole family, this complimentary experience begins Oct. 21 to 31 at 6 p.m.
  • Once You Check In, You Never Check Out. For the first time ever, Mandalay Bay will host a haunted bash from Las Vegas’ past with mega-party Haunted Hotel Ball, Oct. 27 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Costumed partygoers can dance among Wolverine Elvis, Zombie Rat Pack and Vampire Showgirls while enjoying the terror of a haunted house and the exclusiveness of a hotel soiree. Outrageous, bizarre and risqué will be among the Halloween costumes competing in the virtual costume contest.
  • A Drink With the Devil. No tricks, only treats will haunt MGM Grand’s boutique nightclub Tabú this Halloween season. The hot spot offers spooktacular cocktails such as the Devil’s Reject made with Ambhar Tequila, Grand Marnier, ginger ale, lemon & pineapple juice; and Gravedigger, a mix of Bacardi Orange Rum, Malibu Rum, Myers Dark Rum, orange, lemon & pomegranate juice, to clubgoers ready to have a fang-tastic night. Want to dress as bats and werewolves? miX Lounge at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay will be awarding prizes for best costumes at the Bacardi “Howl-O-Ween” Bash Oct. 26.
