Many tourists and even locals are not aware that Las Vegas has a walk of fame similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On October 2004, The Las Vegas Walk of Stars was developed in cooperation with Clark County, which sanctioned four miles of sidewalk along both sides of Las Vegas Boulevard South between Sahara and Russell Avenues.

The Las Vegas Walk of Stars honors people of prominence in a variety of fields including: show business, literary, humanitarian, pioneers/civic, sports, and military.

“I’m so honored to be in the company of some of the most prestigious entertainers that have made an influence on this great town,” said Sacca, who is the 23rd star recipient. “But to learn that Elvis Presley’s star was placed to the left side of my star is an even greater surprise and honor.”

Both Sacca and Presley had their star dedicated in 2008. With the development around New York-New York Hotel and Casino, longtime Las Vegas entertainer, singer, TV host and producer Tony Sacca had his star moved. It was relocated in front of the French restaurant Mon Ami Gabe at Paris Las Vegas on Sept. 15. 2015. Presley’s was placed in front of the Riviera Hotel Casino and due to the resort closing his star was repositioned on Feb. 3, 2016.

On Oct. 26, 2004, Wayne Newton became the first recipient honored and since then 77 stars have been placed on the sidewalk. The list of recipients includes: Liberace, Bobby Darin, Michael Jackson, Siegfried & Roy, The Four Seasons, Society of Seven, Rich Little, Line Renaud, Dick Jensen, Sammy Davis Jr., just to name a few. In 2010, Cuban music icons Gloria Estefan and Emilio Estefan were the first couple recognized and they share a star.
