Hinder to perform at The Pearl on October 30

Rock band Hinder is set to play The Pearl Concert Theater on Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.Hinder, an Oklahoma-based rock band, formed in the early 2000s by Cody Hanson, Austin Winkler and Joe Garvey. After building a fan base by playing local gigs, the group released an EP titled Far From Close. The trio then added two additional members and began working on demos that caught the attention of several record labels. The quintet signed with Universal Republic in 2005 and released its debut album Extreme Behavior featuring the hit single, “Get Stoned.” The album’s second single “Lips of an Angel” reached number one on several charts and garnered the band international attention.

Hinder has remained a constant in the rock scene, touring and recording a second studio album. The group’s sophomore effort, Take It to the Limit, is due out this November. The first single off the new album, “Use Me,” has already reached the top ten on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
