Holiday Dining at JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa

JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa is gearing up for the holidays, designing festive menus in honor of this special time of year.

Holiday Brunch
On Dec. 25, resort guests and Las Vegas neighbors are invited to relax to the sounds of live piano music while enjoying Executive Chef Bruce Knapik’s Holiday Brunch in Ceres restaurant. The menu includes a wide selection of salads, antipasti and artisan cheese display, smoked salmon, fresh baked breads and pastries, and various hot items ranging from traditional turkey, prime rib, leg of lamb and maple bit ham to omelets and fresh pasta-to-order. The children’s buffet includes favorites such as mini pizzas, mac and cheese and chicken fingers. Always leave room for dessert as this station offers spiced pumpkin cheesecake, Yule Log, holiday cookies, made-to-order crepes and more. Seating begins at 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost for adults is $42 per person and children under 12 are $19.95 per person plus tax and gratuity. Children under 5 dine complimentary.

Christmas Dinner
Christmas dinner is served in Ceres featuring a festively crafted menu with choices of appetizers, main courses and desserts. Order à la carte or build your own three-course dinner menu with appetizer choices such as butter poached lobster or tourchon of foie gras to entrée selections including carved prime rib of beef, traditional roasted turkey or pan roasted Alaskan halibut. Dessert choices include seasonal pumpkin cheesecake, pecan tart and a chocolate tasting plate to complement a very special meal. The Christmas dinner three-course menu ranges in price from $37 to $63 per person plus tax and gratuity based on menu selections.

New Year’s Eve Countdown
Round out 2008 at J.C. Wooloughan’s Irish Pub with a delectable menu of flavors including a stuffed pork loin and roasted sirloin round carvery along with the customary Irish “tipple.” Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. with an all-inclusive price of $65 per person plus tax and gratuity (3 course dinner, party favors, champagne toast and guaranteed seating for entertainment). The entertainment starts early afternoon at 3:30 p.m. with best of song and blarney by John Windsor ringing in the New Year in the Emerald Isle at 4 p.m. followed by the fabulous sound of the Fishnets at 9 p.m. – fast becoming a Vegas and pub favorite with their distinctive Blues sound. Party-only reservations are available at $10 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Ceres offers a three-course early-bird menu for revelers as a prelude to their party plans. The early-bird seating time is available from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. by reservation only and is priced at $55 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Always a favorite among guests and Las Vegas neighbors is Ceres annual New Year’s Eve celebration. The evening begins at 8 p.m. with a champagne arrival reception followed by a four-course dinner with exceptional selections. The culinary team has created a very special celebratory menu with main entrée selections including hand carved strip loin of beef, free range chicken or miso marinated salmon. Entertainment is provided by DJ Kayle Stevens and join in the countdown with a complimentary glass of Champagne and party favors galore. The Ceres New Year’s Eve celebration is priced at $85 per person plus tax and gratuity.

New Year’s Day Brunch
The holiday finale is the New Year’s Day Brunch in Ceres from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with an enhanced breakfast buffet. The cost is $26.95 per person and children under 12 are $13.95 per person plus tax and gratuity. Children under 5 dine complimentary.
