Iconic Comedy Duo Cheech & Chong to make Treasure Island Debut June 24
Reunited stoner-hippie comedy duo Cheech & Chong bring their hilariously irreverent satire to Treasure Island June 24 at 9 p.m.

Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong’s partnership began on the stand up comedy circuit and led to six gold comedy albums and eight films, breaking box office records, shattering comedy album sales, garnering multiple Grammy nominations and mesmerizing fans for more than a decade.

For their nine comedy albums between 1972 and 1985, Cheech & Chong were nominated for four Grammy Awards, winning the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album with their third album, “Los Cochinos.” “Big Bambu,” their second album, was the biggest selling comedy record of all time in 1972 and remained so for many years. Their first movie, “Up In Smoke,” became the highest grossing comedy of 1978, topping $100 million at the box office.

Richard “Cheech” Marin followed the success of Cheech & Chong with a diverse range of film and television roles from “Desperado” and “Tin Cup” to “Spy Kids,” “Cars” and “The Lion King.” His television credits include co-starring with Don Johnson in the popular CBS drama “Nash Bridges” and recurring roles on hit series “Lost” and “Jane The Virgin.”

After directing and co-starring in all eight Cheech & Chong films, Tommy Chong went on to play fan favorite stoner “Leo” on “That 70’s Show” and recently voiced “Yax” in the hit film “Zootopia.” Chong also released two books: “Cheech and Chong: The Unauthorized Autobiography” and New York Times best-seller “The I Chong: Meditations from the Joint.” The latter chronicles Chong’s arrest for shipping bongs across the country as well as his humorous anecdotes from his days in jail and 9 month prison stint with cellmate Jordan Belfort “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
