Iconic Variety Entertainer Donny Osmond Views His Caricature at The Palm Restaurant in Las Vegas
On Wed., June 21, world-famous singer, actor and radio personality Donny Osmond stopped by The Palm Las Vegas, inside The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, to check out the newest addition to The Palm Las Vegas’ famous caricature collage – a painting of the legend himself performing on stage (Photo credit: The Palm Las Vegas)

Hand-painted by The Palm Las Vegas’ resident artist, Steve Spector, Osmond’s rendering can be found next to the likenesses of other world-class entertainers including Celine Dion, Rod Stewart and Jerry Seinfeld. Following the signing, the Vegas headliner snapped a few photos with eager fans and mingled with diners with whom he graciously posed.

Over the years, The Palm has become known for the caricatures that adorn the walls at each of the restaurant’s locations. The tradition began when Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi opened The Palm Restaurant in 1926. They had no money to decorate, but luckily, their location on Manhattan’s Second Avenue was near the headquarters of King Features Syndicate and attracted a large clientele of cartoonists. In exchange for their meals, artists often drew their own creations on the walls of The Palm. Now, the iconic walls have become a living museum of cartoons and caricatures of famous faces and loyal customers alike.
