Jabbawockeez Debuts New Short Film “Regenerate”

“Regenerate” tells the story of a world without art and culture. In order to restore its freedom, a rebellion comprised of a new breed of soldiers known as the Jabbawockeez will fight in hopes of re-awakening the human spirit through movement and inspiration.

Famed athletes, artists, dancers and entertainers gathered for the event, with notable guests including champion boxers Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire and Zab Judah, artist Juan Muniz, dancers B-Boy Bailrok and D-Trix and Chumlee of the hit reality showPawn Stars.” There was also a special appearance by Seychelle Gabriel, the lead actress of “Regenerate.”

Guests celebrated the occasion in style during a reception held in Rice & Company before the screening, enjoying beats spun by DJ Cutso of The Bangerz. Prior to the “Regenerate” screening, director Kevin Tancharoen gave his personal remarks about the making of the short film. Tancharoen is best known for his work on “Fame,” “Mortal Kombat: Rebirth,” and “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie.”

Following the screening, guests enjoyed a performance of the Jabbawockeez headlining show “PRiSM.” A celebration of imagination, “PRiSM” takes audiences on a journey of dance, music and inspiration. The show is a dynamic mix of awe-inspiring choreography, enchanting storylines and stunning special effects, forming a production that challenges audiences to embrace the unexpected.
