Jay and the Americans Bring Hits from the ‘60s to the Suncoast Showroom August 25-26

Jay and the Americans
Performing the hits that put them on the charts, Jay and the Americans will take the stage at the Suncoast Showroom August 25 and 26.

With three original members — Sandy Yaguda (“Deane”), Howie Kirschenbaum (“Kane”), and Marty Kupersmith (“Sanders”) — plus the addition of “Jay” Reincke, Jay and the Americans have recreated the authentic sound of the ‘60s.

Jay and the Americans burst onto the music scene in 1962 with their first hit, “She Cried,” and followed up with 12 Top 10 records by 1971. Their top-charting hit, “Come A Little Bit Closer,” reached No. 3 on the Billboard charts in 1964.

In 1970, the group released “Wax Museum,” paying tribute to many rock ‘n’ roll greats with their versions of hit songs “Hushabye,” “Walkin’ in the Rain” and “This Magic Moment.”

In 2002, Jay and the Americans were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

Showtime each evening is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from $15.95, plus tax and fees. Tickets can be purchased at any Coast Casinos box office, by calling 702.636.7075, or visiting www.suncoastcasino.com.
