Jerry’s Nugget Race Book Gets Ready for West Coast Races with Del Mar Handicapping Contests
Race bettors at Jerry’s Nugget are excited, eager and prepared to win during this time of the year. The races at Del Mar are just a few days away, which means the return of the Del Mar Handicapping Contest at the Jerry’s Nugget Race Book. Celebrating its fifth year running, the contest allows bettors a chance to win prize money of up to $500 cash and become the top Del Mar Handicapper of the Week.
Betting windows open at 8am. Contestants can participate for only $10 every week and can enter up to three times. Every week is a new contest and a fresh new start to win the prize money. Entering is simple: choose five picks from the first eight races on a Saturday Del Mar Card and accumulate points for Win, Place and Show. The highest point earner will receive $400 CASH and the second place highest point earner will receive $100 CASH. As a bonus, winners will also receive a $30 dining certificate good to any Jerry’s Nugget restaurant once they show their MoreClub card.
The Jerry’s Nugget Weekly Del Mar Contest officially begins with the first Saturday card held July 24th. The contest will continue every Saturday through September 4th. Guests coming in early morning on race day will be served complimentary donuts and coffee. Track sandwiches, which consist of deli sandwiches made on homemade rolls, will be available at the Race and Sports Book for $2 each.
