John Varvatos in Hard Rock Hotel Unveils “Classic Rock for the Future” Photography by Erik Kabik Aug. 31
John Varvatos, award-winning men’s designer store inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino hosts a limited-time gallery featuring an elite collection of rock and roll prints captured by local photographer and media personality, Erik Kabik.
With photos portraying some of the music industry’s most influential artists taken over the course of 20 years, guests will be taken on a visual journey – their perception moving amongst forty up-close-and-personal masterpieces.

Guests will be treated to the live sounds of Bethany Swain and her classical string duo performing rock and roll classics. Passed hors d’oeuvres featuring signature bites from 35 Steaks + Martinis will be available, as well as cash bar.
Music icons on display during the event include The Black Keys, Grateful Dead, Travis Barker, Kings Of Leon, KISS and Dave Matthews Band. Guests can pick up the current issue of HRH Magazine, featuring a 10-page spread with words and photos by Kabik, detailing his history as a rock photographer and his work at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. John Varvatos is donating ten percent of the evening’s proceeds to Artists 4 Kidz, an initiative of The Public Education Foundation.
A lifelong passion for photography and music has taken Kabik around the world, from Turkey to Egypt to Israel, Indonesia and beyond. These travels have informed his photography and infused his work with an undeniably broad worldview. Since 1990 he has photographed musicians as diverse as The Rolling Stones, TOOL, Jerry Garcia, Jay-Z and Lady Gaga. He most recently worked on a 2 year project with Carlos Santana documenting the first ever rock and roll residency show in Las Vegas, Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through The Hits at The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. His work has appeared in leading publications such as Rolling Stone, People, Spin and many others and can be seen on permanent display throughout Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.
