Jonny Lang started playing the guitar at the age of 12, after his father took him to see the Bad Medicine Blues Band, one of the few blues bands in Fargo, North Dakota. Lang started taking guitar lessons and soon joined Kid Jonny Lang & The Big Bang. The band moved to Minnesota and released the album Smokin’ when Lang was only 14 years old. Lang’s first major-label, multi-platinum album, Lit to Me, was released in 1997. He followed with the albums Wander this World, which earned a Grammy nomination, and Long Time Coming. In 2006, Lang won his first Grammy Award with the gospel-influenced album Turn Around. Lang has toured with some of music’s greatest artists, including the Rolling Stones, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith, B.B. King, Blues Traveler, Jeff Beck and Sting, among others.
