Lance Armstrong Visits The Palazzo and The Venetian

Lance Armstrong stayed at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in a Presidential Suite. After checking-in, Armstrong enjoyed a late dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s CUT. On Thursday morning, Lance greeted fellow cycling friends Tyler Phinney (finished 7th in the individual pursuit during the 2008 Summer Olympics), Davis Phinney (1984 Olympic Bronze Medal in the Men’s 100K Team Time Trial; father to Taylor), and Eddie Merckx (often regarded as the greatest and most successful cyclist of all time) in his Presidential Suite. Following, a press conference was held at The Venetian where Armstrong discussed his return to cycling after 4 years and his leadership role in the Global Cancer Awareness Campaign.
