Las Vegas’ Ferraro Family to Open its First Pizza Forte at Sunset Station April 1
On Wednesday, April 1, Las Vegas’ newest pizza concept, Pizza Forte, will officially open at Sunset Station in Henderson.
This brand-new casual quick serve restaurant, located in the Food Court, is the dream of the Ferraros, the family behind Las Vegas’ longest running family-owned and operated Italian restaurant, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar.
Loosely translated from the Italian as “powerful pizza,” Pizza Forte will offer New York-style pizza and square, Roman-style pan pizza by the slice with toppings including homemade sausage and fresh vegetables, as well as gluten-free options. In addition to freshly made pizza, fountain drinks and Italian soft drinks, desserts including cannolis and tiramisu, Pizza Forte will also offer housemade meatball sandwiches and will be the only Las Vegas dining venue to offer three varieties of Hofmann hot dogs: 100 percent beef, pork-and-beef and pork-and-veal varieties.
The location will also offer to-go items and hotel room delivery.
The restaurant’s decor will be old world meets new world with an industrial twist. Cutout archways lined with white-washed brick will punctuate the walls, while accent walls will resemble reclaimed wood. This Pizza Forte location will seat up to 30 guests, who will place their orders at the walk-up counter.
“Creating Pizza Forte is a dream I’ve had for years,” reveals Mimmo Ferraro, founder and partner, Pizza Forte. “For decades, my family has been perfecting the art of making pizza from scratch. From the homemade crust to the seasonings to the perfect proportion of cheese to tomatoes, we will use only the freshest of ingredients to create a light, yet satisfying, pizza that can only be found at Pizza Forte.”
Mimmo’s father and partner, Gino, adds, “Trust us—this will be the absolute >best pizza in Las Vegas. There’s no question about it.”
The Ferraro family have been planning for this restaurant for eight years. Nearly 40 jobs were created for this new venture including cashiers, pizza makers, counter servers and prep cooks. Pizza Forte will be open daily, beginning at 11 a.m. for lunch and dinner.
