Las Vegas Landmarks Turn Red for World AIDS Day
Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN)
and the Las Vegas community showed support in the fight against HIV and AIDS on World AIDS Day on Dec. 1 with a series of commemorations around town honoring those living with or affected by the disease.

“AFAN is dedicated to continuing the fight against HIV/AIDS until there are no more infections,” said Antioco Carrillo, AFAN executive director. “Our goal has been and always will be making Nevada AIDS-free, and when we do we will throw a huge celebration!”

Starting at 8 p.m., Las Vegas casinos and landmarks turned their marquees and buildings red. The full list of participating properties is below.
