“LAX is Las Vegas’ Throwback Thursday destination,” said Anthony Olheiser, Executive Director of Brand Activation at Luxor. “We’ll continue to bring everyone’s favorite artists from the ’80s and ’90s to create the biggest Throwback parties the city has ever seen.”

DJ Spinderella of legendary hip hop trio Salt-N-Pepa has performed in the group since 1986, recording unforgettable singles including “Push It,” “Let’s Talk About Sex,” “None of Your Business,” “Shoop,” and “Whatta Man,” on which they collaborated with En Vogue. The GRAMMY Award-winning group made its mark on history as one of the first all-female rap groups and remains one of the most successful female hip hop acts of all time.

Young M.C. made his mark on music history in 1989, when he collaborated with Tone-Loc on the hit single “Wild Thing,” which became the first Top Ten pop hit for a black rapper. He went on to earn his first Top Ten single in his own right with the smash hit “Bust A Move,” for which he won the GRAMMY for Best Rap Performance in 1990. The song was most recently hailed by VH1 in its countdown of the 100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs and on its selection of the 100 Greatest Songs of the 1980s.

Every Thursday at LAX Nightclub, DJs spin favorite hits from the ’80s and ’90s, with several memorable Throwback performers hosting select nights throughout the year. Guests are encouraged to don their favorite fashion from the era to bring back the ambiance of the unforgettable decades.

LAX Nightclub ushered in 2016 on the eve of the New Year, by revealing state-of-the-art upgrades to its lighting and sound system, a LED feature surrounding the DJ booth, and sleek new design elements. Over the course of 2016, the venue plans to continue an aggressive rejuvenation, with heavy emphasis on the Throwback Thursday programming.

LAX is open Thursday – Saturday from 10:30 p.m. to late. For more information, visit Luxor.com or follow LAX Nightclub on Facebook and Twitter.
