Legendary Country Music Artist Glen Campbell to Perform at The LVH – Las Vegas Hotel June 1-2
Legendary country music singer, guitarist, television host and actor, Glen Campbell, will perform at the LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino (formerly Las Vegas Hilton) June 1 – 2 in the LVH Theater.
“Glen is an amazing artist with a long and successful career,” said Rick White, Vice President of Brand Marketing & Entertainment. “Some of the greatest artists in the world have performed in the LVH Theater, so the opportunity to have Glen Campbell sing his incredible catalog of hits there on his final tour is truly an honor.”
Glen Campbell, ten-time Academy of Country Music Award-winner, three-time Country Music Association Award-winner and Grammy Award-winner, is one of America’s most accomplished country music artists. In his 50 years in show business, Glen has released more than 70 albums, hosted a variety show called “The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour,” and has made appearances on film including a role in the 1969 critically-acclaimed film, “True Grit,” with John Wayne. Glen’s role in the film earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer.
Some of Campbell’s chart-topping hits include “Let It Be Me,” “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Wichita Lineman,” “Galveston,” “By The Time I Get To Phoenix,” “Gentle On My Mind,” and “Southern Nights,” to name just a few. His latest album, “Ghost On The Canvas,” released in August 2011, is the album of Glen Campbell’s life. With beauty, power, heartfelt emotion and deep spirituality, this set of songs traces the arc of Campbell’s 75 years. Glen’s latest album was named in USA Today’s Top 10 Albums of 2011.
Glen was most recently presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this year.
