Legendary Entertainer Wayne Newton to Perform at MGM Grand Feb. 28 – Mar. 4

‘Mr. Las Vegas’ Wayne Newton will light up the stage inside MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theatre for a five-night engagement February 28 – March 4. Show time is 8:30 p.m. nightly.

Newton has been entertaining audiences worldwide for more than 60 years having started at the age of four and now will return to MGM Grand to perform alongside a 22-piece orchestra. His show will feature a wide array of music including country, big band, R&B and rock. The multi-talented entertainer sings, tells jokes and interacts with the audience in true Las Vegas style.

Newton was a natural musician from the very beginning. After learning to play piano and guitar by ear at the age of six, Newton spent most of his formative years performing in various talent shows and on numerous local radio and television shows. His mastery of 13 musical instruments, along with incomparable showmanship, has earned him numerous entertainment awards. At the age of 15, Newton was spotted by a booking agent on a local Phoenix television show and invited to audition for a job at the Fremont Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Newton landed the gig and has been a part of the Las Vegas fabric ever since.

The legendary artist has had numerous hit songs including ‘Heart,’ ‘Danke Schoen,’ ‘Red Roses for a Blue Lady,’ ‘Summer Wind,’ ‘She Believes in Me,’ ‘While the Feelings Good,’ and ‘Daddy Don’t You Walk So Fast.’ His film credits include ‘Vegas Vacation,’ ‘Ford Fairlane’ and ‘License to Kill.’
