Legendary Neil Sedaka to Perform at Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel July 21

Singer, songwriter, composer, pianist Neil Sedaka will be performing at the Eastside Cannery Casino and Hotel on Saturday, July 21, 2012. Sedaka’s impressive 50-year career ranges from being one of the first teen pop sensations of the 50’s, a relevant songwriter for himself and other artists in the 60’s, a superstar in the 70’s, remaining a constant force in writing and performing presently. 

This is all attributed to the more than 500 songs he has written or co-written, performed, and produced that continue to inspire artists and audiences around the world.

The awards, recognitions and accolades showered on Sedaka over the decades have been numerous including The Special International Award from The Ivors, honoring excellence in songwriting in May 2010. On October 8th, 2010 Neil was the Variety Club’s recipient of The Silver Heart Award for his outstanding service to the music industry and his charitable work.

In addition to his extensive tour schedule, Neil has just released “The Music of My Life”, a CD of brand new Sedaka material, including his first ever Salsa song, “Do You Remember”, produced by Grammy Award Winner David Foster. “This is my best collection of songs in 57 years of songwriting. It might be my last set of pop songs, as I feel I cannot top these”, said Sedaka.
