 will stay busy throughout early autumn as they celebrate Chinese Golden Week, Oct. 1-8, and Filipino-American Heritage Month, Oct. 1-31, with Moon Cake giveaways, live music, food specials, and more. 

Golden Week is a seven-day Chinese national holiday, the country’s most popular traveling period, and coincides with the Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon Festival.

Dragon Club Members can earn points to receive Moon Cakes Sept. 18-22, and Sept. 25-29. Moon Cakes are a Chinese pastry traditionally eaten, and offered to friends and family, during the Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon Festival, celebrated each year on the 15th day of the 8th  lunar month by the majority of Asian countries.

Pearl Ocean, Lucky Dragon’s highly acclaimed live-seafood and dim sum restaurant, will offer eight discounted specialty Golden Dishes from Oct. 1-8. These dishes include:

  • Peking Duck ($15 + tax)
  • Roast Duck ($15 + tax)
  • Steamed Empress Style Chicken ($15 + tax)
  • Crispy Fried Chicken ($15 + tax)
  • Crispy Fried Flounder ($15 + tax)
  • Steamed Flounder Cantonese Style ($15 + tax)
  • Wine Stewed Ox-tail Pumpkin Bowl ($15 + tax)
  • 1 lb. of Live Prawns Golden Egg Yolk Style ($50 + tax)

In addition, Phoenix, Lucky Dragon’s upscale restaurant specializing in modern Asian fare, will celebrate Golden Week with a $20 Dim Sum Platter offered throughout the month of October.

Filipino-American Heritage Month Promotions

In honor of National Filipino-American Heritage Month, Lucky Dragon will host “Hot Manila Nights,” featuring performances from local Filipino group 360 Band on Friday, Oct. 13, and Friday, Oct. 27.

Local favorite 360 Band specializes in ‘70s and ‘80s classics, and is comprised of Ewett Willie Bonifacio (Drums), Elmer Yumul (Vocals), Michelle Aquino (Vocals), Marie Chua (Bass/Vocals), Winnie Nigoza (keyboard), and Jojo Marquez (Guitar/Vocal).

In addition to live music, guests can celebrate Filipino culture with $2 San Miguel beer specials throughout October, and Bao Now’s newly debuted Filipino specialty dishes, including Tilapia, Pancit Chicken, and Pork Adobo.
