Major GRAMMY Nominations Tie Back to Las Vegas’ Studio at the Palms

GRAMMY nominations were held on Wednesday, Dec. 1 with six nominations coming from music recorded at the Palms Casino Resort’s state-of-the-art Studio at the Palms.

Albums in both pop and R&B categories were worked on at the hip recording studio, adding to the already impressive list of past GRAMMY nominations and wins.

The 2011 GRAMMY nominations include:

  • Album of the Year – Teenage Dream/Katy Perry
  • Best Female Pop Vocal Performance – Teenage Dream/Katy Perry
  • Best Pop Vocal Performance – Teenage Dream/Katy Perry
  • Best Female R&B Vocal Performance – Everything to Me/Monica
  • Best R&B Vocal Album – Still Standing/Monica
  • Best Contemporary R&B Album – Raymond V Raymond/Usher

Each year when nominations are announced and they include music that was created at the Studio at the Palms, it speaks to the level of equipment at the facility and the skill of the staff, and further solidifies Vegas as a major hub for the music industry. Congratulations to all the nominees,” said Director of Studio at the Palms Zoe Thrall.

This year’s GRAMMY awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13.
