Make-A-Wish patient Veronica attends the Mike Hammer Comedy Magic Show at The Four Queens Hotel & Casino
Veronica was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD) and Lupus (SLE) at age 16. She’s a recipient of the Make-A-Wish foundation and will be participating in their Walk-for-Wishes on March 11. This week she had some fun at Mike Hammer’s Comedy Magic Show at The Four Queens Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas.

“Although Veronica has been diagnosed with both MCTD and Lupus, which can be very debilitating, I noticed how positive and outgoing she was,” said Mike. “I was very impressed with her positive mental attitude and am hoping the best for Veronica and her family. I’m happy to see she is dealing with her own battles and yet still doing wonderful things for others by participating in this walk.”
Veronica explained, “MCTD affected me in many ways and changed my life. I has caused my hair to fall out and my vision to change. I get sore and tired from daily activities and have a hard time staying awake. My diseases affect my heart and several other organs I have to travel to UCLA frequently for care.”

Wishes can increase the physical and emotional well-being of wish kids, and create happy, lifelong memories. The funds raised will support the Make-A-Wish mission to grant the wish of every eligible child who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.
