Marc Broussard to Perform at Hard Rock Cafe On The Strip July 3

Soulful singer Marc Broussard visits the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip along with special guest Matt Hires and Chic Gamine.

Broussard’s music is pulled from the heart, crafted impeccably and delivered with the deep emotion that defines Broussard as one of the great vocalists of our time. The depth that is injected in the writing and singing exemplifies the love he feels for his craft. Strong currents of R&B, sanctified church and the many other flavors of his Louisiana bayou home nourish his songs. It’s a sign of Broussard’s creativity that he is able to find poetry and meaning in everyday experience and translate them into song.

Broussard’s solo career started with the release of several independent efforts, including 2002’s “Momentary Setback” which spawned the hit “The Wanderer”, a song about self discovery. His first major album “Carencro” was released on August 3, 2004, and pays tribute to the musician’s hometown of Carencro, Louisiana, where he still resides.

In 2007, he released “S.O.S.: Save Our Soul,” an album consisting almost entirely of cover songs. In January 2008 Broussard finished recording the “Must Be The Water” EP on the Rock Boat VII, the annual cruise and music festival. In 2008, he released his third full-length studio album, “Keep Coming Back.” The song “Hard Knocks” from this album was featured in the last episode of the 2009 season of Hard Knocks on HBO featuring the Cincinnati Bengals.

Broussard’s newest album, “Marc Broussard” is set to be released in June 2011. An early release called “Marc Broussard EP” was released on March 22, 2011 and features the new singles “Lucky” and “Only Everything.”
