Margaret Cho to Perform at The Pearl at The Palms Sept. 17

Armed with her witty and sometimes controversial sense of humor, comedian Margaret Cho brings her latest comedy tour to The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 9:30 p.m.

Margaret Cho received her first big break in the comedy field at the age of 16, when she entered and subsequently won a contest where the grand prize was opening up for comedian Jerry Seinfeld. Soon after, Cho hit the college circuits and became an instant hit among the college demographic. After a couple big late night appearances, Cho was catapulted into the mainstream world of comedy, leading to a starring role in the short lived ABC sitcom, All-American Girl.

In 1999, Cho wrote and starred in a one woman show based off of her experiences on the sitcom called I’m the One That I Want, which eventually turned into a US tour, concert film and book. She followed up with a tour called Notorious C.H.O. in 2001 and then Revolution in 2003. Revolution grossed more than $4 million and the CD version of Revolution was nominated for a Grammy award. Riding high from the success of Revolution, Cho launched the State of Emergency tour during the 2004 Presidential election which emerged as a new tour Assassin.

In 2007, Cho traveled with Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry & Erasure, The Dresden Dolls and The Cliks on the True Colors Tour, which benefited human rights. In 2009, Cho returned to the stage with a new comedy tour titled Beautiful, which was also filmed as her fifth concert film.
