Mark Shunock’s “Mondays Dark” to Benefit The Miracle League of Las Vegas at Body English Nightclub at Hard Rock Hotel April 21
Mark Shunock’s April edition of “Mondays Dark” will take place on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 8:30 pm at Body English Nightclub inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. This month Shunock and his cast of guest stars will take the audience on a musical journey through the movies with “Movie Night: Soundtracks Live,” celebrating Hollywood while at the same time raising funds for The Miracle League of Las Vegas.
Special guests will include John Robert Hall (of “Glee” and “Rock of Ages”), the Ladies of Bella Electric Strings, comedian Shayma Tash (featured on “The Tonight Show”), Stephanie Calvert (lead singer of Starship), Graham Fenton (of “Jersey Boys”), Maren Wade (“Vegas! The Show” and “Fantasy”), the cast of “Million Dollar Quartet,” Las Vegas legend Mr. Marc Love Chemerys and Peter Anthony Garcia (aka Chi Chi Rones), and more to be announced.
“Each month I get more and more excited about the response to Mondays Dark and the money we are raising for Las Vegas charities,” says Shunock, who plays Lonny in the hit “Rock of Ages” at the Venetian. “With music from the movies as our theme this month, I know we can sell out the show again and help raise funds that can help The Miracle League achieve it’s goal for children and adults with cognitive and/or physical challenges to play baseball.”
Every month Shunock gathers an eclectic cast of guests including stars from Hollywood, the Strip, musical acts, athletes and celebrity chefs for 90 minutes of chat, entertainment – and a lot of laughs. “Mondays Dark” partners with a different Las Vegas-based charity to raise money each month for that charity, between ticket sales and silent auction items. Previous charities to benefit from Mondays Dark include Opportunity Village and AFAN (AID FOR AID of NEVADA), Nevada SPCA and the St. Therese Center HIV Outreach and The Shine Family Foundation.
