“Master Magician & Piano Genius” Jarrett & Raja to Celebrate 10th Anniversary in Show Business
Internationally acclaimed performers Jarrett & Raja billed as “Master Magician & Piano Genius” will be celebrating their 10th anniversary in show business in October 2012. They have entertained audiences nationally and globally with their unique blend of magic and music. Jarrett & Raja recently competed on NBC-TV’s “America’s Got Talent” in San Francisco, Las Vegas and New York.
Acclaimed by the likes of Siegfried & Roy and Penn & Teller, Jarrett & Raja have performed on major stages from New York and Las Vegas to Far East Asia and Europe. They recently returned to Las Vegas following an outstanding two year show in Singapore.
Jarrett was trained by legendary magician Harry Blackstone Jr. and Raja studied for 5 years as a classically trained pianist, at the world famous Juilliard School in New York City.
The duo met in Manhattan when Jarrett was booked at the legendary Friar’s Club. He discovered that there wasn’t a sound system but there was a grand piano! Jarrett was aware of Raja’s accomplishments at Juilliard, and invited him to accompany his magic… and the rest is history! The show was a “big hit” and the two decided to continue exploring this new double act idea.
They decided to relocate to Las Vegas in 2000 and were immediately booked at The Regent Hotel & Casino, the Four Seasons Las Vegas, headlined at The Paris Hotel & Casino and guest-starred at Bally’s Las Vegas. They were invited to headline at Hollywood’s historic Magic Castle before they began their world tour in 2003.
Jarrett & Raja had the pleasure of working with famed motion picture director Kenny Ortega (“High School Musical” and Michael Jackson’s “This Is It”). Kenny directed J&R’s show when they performed in London’s West End and throughout England.
