It seems pretty clear that the NHL players have a special place in their hearts for Downtown Las Vegas! Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matt Martin and goaltender Frederik Andersen decided to swing by the D Casino Hotel last night and visit their buddy, former NHL player of the Boston Bruins, Darren Banks – who is now a D Executive casino host (Pictured: NHL Toronto Maple Leafs players Matt Martin and Frederik Andersen pose with Darren Banks and Casino Owner Derek Stevens – Photo credit: the D Casino Hotel)

Matt, Frederik, and Darren chatted about hockey at the D’s award-winning Italian steakhouse, Andiamo. There was certainly a lot to discuss, considering Matt recently signed a four-year contract with the team, and Frederik was awarded the William M. Jennings Trophy, which is given to the goaltenders who play a minimum of 25 games for their team, and have the fewest goals scored against them in a season! Now, THAT’S a table full of talent.

After the three men finished their top-notch steaks, they all headed down the escalator to another popular downtown tourist attraction – the LONGBAR! There, they met up with the D’s owner, Derek Stevens, who also happens to be a huge hockey fan. Even social media manager Kelly O’Connor jumped in for a photo since she’s a huge New York Islander’s fan, which is Matt’s former team.

The casino’s guests were pleasantly surprised to see some of the Maple Leafs in Sin City! It makes sense that these athletes would want to fuel up on a delicious meal before their New Year’s Eve game against our Vegas Golden Knights – and where else other than Andiamo Italian Steakhouse?

It’s safe to say – when another hockey match hits the T-Mobile Arena, one is likely to find the team members having a great time at the D the night before!
