Comedy Magician Mac King

Comedy Magician Mac King

Acclaimed by MAGIC Magazine as the premiere comedy magician in the world today, Mac King was named “Magician of the Year” by the Magic Castle in Hollywood, appeared on his seventh TV special for NBC-TV, got voted the 6th best show in all of Las Vegas, and rocked the audience on The Late Show with David Letterman.

He is currently starring in the long-running The Mac King Comedy Magic Show at Harrah’s Las Vegas where he has performed an incredible 5720 shows to nearly one and half million fans.

Before moving to Las Vegas, Mac spent 200 days a year on the road as an after dinner corporate entertainer, wowing companies around the world (Microsoft, Nationwide Insurance, Nissan, AT&T, and hundreds more) with his astounding sleight of hand and irresistible humor. He still does a select few of those shows.

According to his wife and daughter, Mac is a fine husband, a great dad, and all around swell fellow.

Master Magician Lance Burton

Master Magician Lance Burton

Master Magician Lance Burton entered his first competition as a junior magician at a convention in 1977 and walked away with first prize. His maturity as a performer was becoming evident. It was no longer a matter of if, but when, the “break” would come. In 1980, shortly after his 20th birthday, Lance Burton became the first winner of the coveted “Gold Medal for Excellence” from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Bill and Milt Larsen immediately signed him up for their annual “It’s Magic” show and used their contacts to have him introduced to all of America by Johnny Carson on “The Tonight Show.”

The offers poured in for the new star. Lance wisely accepted an eight-week trial engagement at the prestigious “Folies Bergere” in Las Vegas. His contract broke all records by being extended for nine years.

Lance was brought back to “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson nine more times, for a total of 10 appearances and has appeared 5 more times with Jay Leno as the host.

On May 12, 1994 Lance Burton was given the honor of having the “Mantle of Magic” passed to him from Master Magician Lee Grabel which made Lance the new member of what has been called “The Royal Dynasty of Magic.”

On August 11, 1994 Lance Burton entered into a contract to star in, produce and direct a new and lavish version of his, already great, magic show in the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino which opened on June 21, 1996.

In nearly every poll Lance Burton has been voted “Best Magician” and “Best Entertainer.” In the R-J’s 1999 Editor’s Poll he was chosen as “Favorite Male Las Vegan” for his contributions to community charities.

Singer-Impressionist Gordie Brown moved to Las Vegas and in less than two years worked with fellow Canadians Paul Anka and Rich Little. He went on to work with Jay Leno, Louie Anderson, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Barry Manilow, The Righteous Brothers, Jerry Seinfeld, and many others.

Gordie Brown is not the typical impressionist. While many impressionists rely on jokes made famous by the person they are doing, or by facial impressions or significant musical numbers pertaining to a certain celebrity, Gordie Brown does all that and more, including creating his own jokes to go with the character. He is known as a brilliant writer of witty dialogue and song parodies, and combines his comedic touch with a gift for mimicking voices to create his unique and very entertaining show. Gordie Brown’s Louis Armstrong impression is recognized as one of the best.

Quickly moving from character to character, audiences may hear Ozzy Osbourne, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Ted Koppel of Night Line, and a drunk Billy Joel with Elton John.

One segment of Gordie Brown’s show that always draws laughter is his Elvis impression. Instead of tossing scarves to the audience as the King did, Gordie Brown rips three feet of toilet paper off a roll, places it around his neck to make a two-ply scarf, and then snaps off squares of tissue to hand to fans, all the while singing “My Way.”

Gordie Brown’s awards include: Best Comedian & Best Entertainer 2003, Nevada magazine; Best Casino Show 2003, Reno Gazette Journal; Entertainer of the Year 2002, Sacramento.com; Best Casino Show 2002, Reno Gazette Journal; and Best New Show & Best New Entertainer 2002, Nevada Magazine. Gordie Brown continues to perform on stage with more than 100 shows a year, for such corporations as Ford, AT&T, PepsiCo, and Motorola.

Gordie Brown is currently performing at the Sin City Theater in Planet Hollywood. Call  1-866-983-4279 or Click here for ticket information.

Mac King, Lance Burton and Gordie Brown will join dozens of other celebrities and VIPs who will attend this event to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and Las Vegas-based veterans’ organizations R.W.B. Dog Tags, Forgotten Not Gone and The Nathan Tyler Davis Foundation.
