Memorial Weekend Celebrity Sightings at The Palms

Inside Nove Italiano, at the Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, Rain Nightclub Resident DJ Paul Oakenfold was dining with three guests at a table overlooking the Strip. Oakenfold started with the Shrimp Franchaise and for his main course enjoyed a Bone in Filet with whole grain mustard on the side, and for dessert he indulged with one of the signature desserts, the Strawberry Carpaccio. DJ Tiësto, who was also at Nove for dinner, stopped by to say hello to Oakenfold and talk for several minutes. Tiësto arrived with several friends and enjoyed family-style appetizers including the Federal Hill Calamari, Crudo sampler, Salumi, and Shrimp Franchaise. For their main course, they dined on the Chicken Parmesan, Tortellini, Tuna and Spaghetti with red sauce.

At N9NE Steakhouse guests included actor and comedian Dane Cook. He was joined by three friends and enjoyed the 8 oz. Filet Mignon and a steamed lobster tail with Fiji water. He finished dinner just in time to take the stage at The Pearl for his performance. Returning for a second night was Jeremy Shockey, NFL tight end for the New Orleans Saints, was spotted dining with six guests including long-time friend George Maloof. The group enjoyed Crispy Wontons, Fried Calamari and signature Stuffed Shrooms, Shockey had the 8 oz. Filet for his main course. At a separate table was Paul Pierce, NBA player for the Boston Celtics, he was joined by former NBA player Sam Cassell and four other guests in the main dining room. The table shared the Signature Rock Shrimp and Shellfish Platter to start. For dinner Pierce had the 12 oz. Filet Mignon with Creamed Corn and Green Beans on the side. He placed his NBA ring on the table during dinner. Drew Gooden, NBA player for the San Antonio Spurs, was joined by seven friends. They drank Ketel One and Red Bull and Gooden enjoyed the 8 oz. Filet with a side of Mac and Cheese. Also spotted in N9NE Steakhouse was Juwan Howard, NBA player for the Charlotte Bobcats, and Michael Finley, NBA player for the San Antonio Spurs. They were joined by a large group in the main dining room. Howard started with the Classic Caesar Salad followed by a 16oz Bone in Filet with Asparagus and Julie’s Potatoes on the side. Meanwhile, Finley started with the Classic Caesar Salad and the Signature Rock Shrimp. For dinner, Finley enjoyed the Roasted Colorado Lamb Chops with a side of Creamed Corn. Lastly, Steven Jackson, NBA player for the Golden State Warriors, and Andre Johnson, NFL wide receiver for the Houston Texans, were joined by a group of six guests for dinner. The table shared Rock Shrimp and Oysters Rockefeller to start. Jackson enjoyed the Roasted Colorado Lamb with Julie’s Potatoes while Johnson enjoyed the 16 oz. Bone in Filet with Signature Lobster Mashed Potatoes.

At Moon Nightclub, Sammy Morris, NFL running back for the New England Patriots was spotted at a VIP table on the dance floor. Meanwhile, at Playboy Club, Larry Johnson aka L.J., NFL running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, was spotted playing blackjack and sipping Ketel One and Red Bull.

Rain Nightclub featured Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Las Vegas, as part of the Love Festival line-up. The unique weekly Saturday production of Perfecto includes a multitude of cutting-edge design and visual art elements, including full audio visual system integration, multi-screen content and eye popping computer graphics. In addition to Oakenfold, the evening also presented sounds from Eddie Halliwell, Doman & Pettigrew, Danny Love and The Funkler. Famed DJ Tiësto was spotted in a VIP section of the nightclub as well sipping Perrier Jouet Champagne.
