Midwestern Players Win Big in Boyd Gaming’s ‘Spin Your Way’ Contest
Twenty lucky players from across the country won more than $200,000 at Boyd Gaming’s sixth annual “Spin Your Way” slot tournament, held at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Luckiest of all was Par-A-Dice regular Patricia Mahan, who is heading home to Illiopolis, Il. with the top prize of $100,000.
“I’m going to enjoy living debt-free from here on out, thanks to these winnings,” said Patricia.
“Each year, we love meeting guests from our properties near and far at this destination tournament,” said Laura Delacruz, Boyd Gaming Corporate director of loyalty programs. “For 2014, our Midwestern guests made a huge splash in the competition.”
Kansas Star Casino guest Donald K. of Garden Plain, Kan., finished second by less than 2,000 points, but captured a great consolation prize of $25,000. Sam’s Town Tunica’s Lawrence E. rounded out the top three and took home $20,000.
B Connected members from 19 properties across the country earned points in qualifying tournaments, vying for a spot in the Las Vegas finals. More than 150 guests participated in the finals on November 12 and 13 at The Orleans.
Holly O. from Diamond Jo in Northwood and Thomas L. from Delta Downs placed fourth for $15,000 and fifth for $10,000, respectively. Fifteen additional top point earners took home prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.
