Starring Donovan, “Christmas Crooner” is his tribute to the classic holiday baritones of the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s, reminiscent of the sounds of Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Perry Como, Johnny Mercer, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra and others. Backed by the 13-piece Smokin’ Joe Escriba Big Band, Donovan will perform classic holiday tunes like “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “White Christmas,” “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm” and many more alongside the Swing City Dolls, and special guests Michelle Johnson, Graham Fenton and Justin Shandor.

Known for his role as “Sam Phillips” in the smash-hit musical Million Dollar Quartet at Harrah’s Las Vegas as well as his role as “Sheriff Ramsey” on the critically acclaimed HBO series Boardwalk Empire, Donovan’s most important role to date has been that of a foster parent. Nearly three years ago, Donovan and his wife Jennifer decided to attempt adoption through the foster care system, embarking on what turned out to be an epic journey and emotional rollercoaster. Like so many foster parents in Southern Nevada and beyond, they have opened their home and hearts to children and loved as their own – some of whom they’ve had to say goodbye to along the way. Last year, the Donovans brought home a baby boy (whom they call Oscar) from the hospital. He is now 14 months old – they love him desperately, and very much hope to adopt him in the near future.

Originally conceived as a simple celebration of the inspirational deep-voiced vocalists of a bygone era in a showcase of Donovan’s musical side, “Christmas Crooner” has since evolved into an opportunity to shed light on an issue of great personal and social importance, helping to raise funds and awareness for Foster Change while providing an afternoon filled with top-notch entertainment.

“We’ve seen and been through a lot in the foster care system,” said Donovan. “We got into this to be parents, but now we want to be advocates.”

Ticket prices start at $34.75 plus applicable fees and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling the Westgate box office at 800-222-5361. All proceeds will benefit Foster Change.
