More than 50 Marquees Throughout Las Vegas Shine Blue to Recognize National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
On Wednesday, Jan. 9, marquees on the Las Vegas Strip and throughout the valley lit up in blue as part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation’s Go True Blue Campaign in commemoration of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (Pictured: Miracle Mile Shops

“Today, tens of thousands of people witnessed a unified Las Vegas standing in solidarity with the brave men and women of our law enforcement community,” said Tom Kovach, executive director of the LVMPD Foundation. “We are humbled and grateful for the Las Vegas community’s continued support and we look forward to further strengthening our bond with the people of this great city.”

Organizations including Affinity Gaming, Boyd Gaming, Caesars Entertainment, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Golden Entertainment, Las Vegas Sands Corporation, MGM Resorts International, Penn National Gaming, South Point Hotel Casino & Spa, Station Casinos and Wynn Resorts came together to Go True Blue in support of their local heroes.

The LVMPD Foundation created the Go True Blue campaign to recognize and support LVMPD officers who, day-in and day-out, work hard to keep our community safe. The campaign is a way for community members to show their support for LVMPD and the strong partnership that exists and continues to grow between LVMPD officers, companies and residents of Las Vegas and Clark County.
